KSPA is thrilled to present the Fall 2024 Showcase, celebrating the exceptional work of student journalists across Kansas. From August through November, students from 30 high schools showcased their creativity and passion in photography, writing, and video journalism. “When you walk through the hallways of East, you feel our culture radiating from the students. On second floor, you’ll see the sparkling lion dance heads from Lion Dance club. You’ll see posters in the stairwells about HALO club and the Multicultural Exhibition. In fact, there is a hall decorated with the 158 flags of our students’ nations of origin. We welcome students from countries around the world such as Vietnam, India, Uganda, Mexico, and China. Just as the flags decorate our halls, these cultures weave together the fabric of East High. We are proud of this diversity, each student’s individual identity and culture.”
