Dr. Nicole Foster has been the Pitt Media adviser at Pittsburg High School since January 2022. She has been in education for 21 years in previous positions as a middle school yearbook adviser, ELA teacher, migrant education & ESOL coordinator, and College Assistant Migrant coordinator. She has been a KSPA & JEA member since 2017 and has been an active judge for both regional and state competitions. She received her bachelors in education in English and masters degree in education with an ESOL emphasis from PSU. She received her educational doctorate degree in Education Leadership and Policy from KU. She is a photographer and local business reporter for the Morning Sun. She has had past experience in grant writing and producing educational video and audio productions for KSDE and the Southeast Educational Service Center at Greenbush. She has been a member of Governor Kelly’s Council on Education since 2021.
