It’s new to 2025: the KSPA Student Showcase! We want to showcase your staff’s best work throughout the year, but we need your help. Work together to submit your staff’s BEST work in the categories listed on the form. The KSPA staff will curate all the entries and post the best on our website and social media accounts.

Fall showcase: here’s all the awesome work!

Winter showcase: Friday, Feb. 28

Spring showcase: check back for deadline

Submission instructions:

Number of entries: Each school can submit two entries per category, but we ask that you submit them all on ONE entry form. There’s no minimum entry requirement so submit a few things or a bunch. Your choice. Gather all your best work and submit it in ONE entry form. Please do not allow individual students to submit individual entries.

Cost: It’s FREE if you’re a KSPA member (check here to be sure you are current member)

Categories:

Photography: Sports Action, Sports Reaction, Academics, and Student Life/Feature

Design: Newspaper Page Design, Yearbook Spread Design, Full Newspaper Issue

Multimedia/Video: Multimedia Package, News Segment, Sports Segment or Hype Video, Full Episode

Writing: Sports Story, News Story, Opinion, Feature/Profile, Yearbook Copy

Snow Day Coverage (winter showcase): Best online/print story or design relating to the extreme winter weather or snow days. 

How to submit your entries (this is super duper important):

Please note: Follow the submission instructions closely. 

Designs: JPG or PDF named Your School_FirstLastName. Multiple spread entries should be combined into one JPG or PDF. Entries not named properly will not be published. Do not include links to files in Google Drive.

Photos: JPG named Your School_FirstLastName (be sure file size is no larger than 10MB). Entries not named properly will not be published. Do not include links to files in Google Drive.

Writing: link to story online or link to a shareable PDF, include student first and last name(s) and school on a line below the link. Please do not send links to Google Docs.

Multimedia: link to content online, include student first and last name(s) and school on a line below link. 

Video: link to video on YouTube or Vimeo or shareable video on Google Drive (be sure file size is no larger than 10MB), include student first and last name(s) and school on a line below the link if instructed.

Showcase results:

Where will showcase be posted: The KSPA staff will curate the entries and post them on the KSPA website and social media.

Certificates: Staffs whose work was chosen for the showcase will receive a certificate emailed to your adviser.

Future showcase entries: Spring dates will be announced soon.
